Hi, I'm a researcher and data analyst at École Normale Supérieure (ENS) - University PSL, French Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (INRIA), and National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE). I'm part of the "AI Forest" project, a collaborative initiative between Germany and France government in the field of Artificial Intelligence. The primary objective of this project is to employ cutting-edge artificial intelligence tools, such as Vision Transformers, in conjunction with satellite observations, to effectively monitor and track disturbances in forest ecosystems. I'm also actively engaged in an EU-China international collaboration project focused on enhancing the surveillance of land and ocean biodiversity through the utilization of environmental and Earth observation techniques.
Short presentation of myself, my professional background lies primarily in the energy sector, with a specific focus on nuclear and renewable energy. Throughout my bachelor's and master's studies, I delved into the realms of safety analysis of nuclear energy and its environmental implications. However, my research interests broadened during my doctoral studies, as I transitioned my focus to delve into the complex interconnections between agricultural and forestry ecosystems and their relationship with climate change.
During my doctoral research, I dedicated my efforts to examining the contrasting productive performances of conservation agriculture and conventional tillage systems under the influence of climate change. Subsequently, during my postdoctoral period, I concentrated on evaluating the viability of implementing a double cropping system in Europe, particularly considering the implications of the ongoing global warming trend, which has the potential to shorten the growing season for crops.
